There is no doubt this has been a bit of a tough year. Our Worshipful Master, W Bro Tim Stott, suggested an idea to bring a smile to the children and staff who will be working over the Festive period at the Royal Stoke Children’s Hospital during a recent social Zoom meeting for the Lodge and Chapter. As a Lodge and Chapter, the Brethren and Companions began purchasing the selection boxes. With 120 selection boxes we had hit the target; and, with a further 20 tins of sweets, for the staff were pleased to arrange delivery with the hospital Charity Team.
Accepting the gifts on behalf of the hospital were members from the Lead Play Specialist team; the Charity Team; and the back-office teams from the call centres at the hospital.
What a wonderful way to end the year and bring some cheer to those working so hard to look after others during this festive period.
